Currently, one of humanity’s most pressing challenges is water scarcity, with 2.2 billion people lacking access to safe drinking water. On World Water Day, Lenan Zhang and Yang Zhong engaged in a conversation with CNN’s chief climate correspondent Bill Weir on how climate change is impacting fresh water supply globally and how MIT’s pioneering desalination system could potentially revolutionize the existing water infrastructure, addressing critical issues of water scarcity and climate change.
